From Chris Hoaglund, Adwear Specialties Sales & Marketing Manager
Business casual does not mean Gym-Wear. So save your track suits, team memorabilia and tennis shoes for your workouts, not the office. Nor does it mean Night Club wear, anything too sparkly, revealing or tight can be inappropriate for many work places.
Today’s Business Suit is much more khaki’s and polo shirts than it is dresses and 3 piece suits. And in many offices jeans are perfectly acceptable. I’m all for comfortable work-wear… aren’t we more productive if we can bend and move and breathe? Thankfully the fabrics and styles that are offered here are all that and a bag of chips.
Stylish Choices for Business Casual
Take the knit blazer for example (LM2000)
It’s every bit office-appropriate as it is comfortable.
Not too hot, not stiff, it’s any easy jacket for jeans and skinnies alike.
Pair with a crisp tee and dark wash jeans and you are by definition both business and casual. There’s a companion style for men too.
This Modal Stretch knit jacket (L519) is also office appropriate
The knit is heavier than your average tee shirt, but not so heavy that it’s hot. Great for cool summer offices or hot winter ones, pair with a great pair of knit pants and you’d swear you were working in your favorite Yoga duds.
For guys, try the chambray shirt (DM3800)
Guys have it easy. The aforementioned Khaki’s and polo shirts are an easy go-to casual look. But for a more trendsetting look, younger and older guys alike look great in a chambray shirt (DM3800). Wear it tucked or untucked with a great pair of dark wash jeans and cool shoes and any man will look hip and professional.
